What is the least awkward way to ask who has next?

The park court near me has a regular group, and I usually arrive alone. I can tell when a game is close, but not who is organizing the next five. Do you ask the sideline generally, or wait until someone starts choosing teams?

Would you still bring cash to a small art market?

I am going to a neighborhood art market for the first time. Most sellers probably take cards, but I do not want a weak signal to turn a five-minute purchase into a problem. Is a small amount of cash still useful?

What is a fair wait time for an early group ride?

We meet before the heat builds, so ten late minutes changes the whole route. I do not want to leave a newcomer behind, but I also do not want everyone standing in the sun. Would you roll out at a fixed time and share the first stop?

Would you trust a late bus connection after a concert?

The route home has one transfer and the last useful connection is close to the scheduled end of the show. I can leave during the encore or budget for a rideshare. Would you decide before the show, or check the live times near the end?

How long is too long at a café table with one book?

I want somewhere warm to read on Sunday, but I do not want to occupy a two-person table through the busy part of brunch. If I order twice, is ninety minutes reasonable, or should I move once a line forms?

How close to closing would you pick up a library hold?

My hold is ready, but the only weekday window I have gets me there about twenty minutes before closing. I know pickup is quick. Would you go, or wait until Saturday so staff are not trying to finish the desk around me?

Do you message before joining a public-court pickup game?

I pass the same court after work and the group usually looks one player short, but I do not know anyone there yet. Is it normal to walk over with shoes and ask, or should I find the neighborhood group chat first?

Would you reserve for six if the plan is mostly conversation?

Six of us want dinner next week and we may stay longer than a quick meal because two friends have not seen each other in months. We will order normally. Should I mention that when reserving, or just choose an earlier time and keep the table moving?

Would you take an earlier ferry when bringing a bike?

I am planning a Saturday day trip with my bike and need to be back in Seattle for dinner. I have only ridden the ferry without one. Is taking an earlier sailing worth it just to learn the boarding routine without rushing?

How early would you claim a table for a football watch group?

Seven people want to meet at a food hall for the match on Sunday. We will all buy food, but I do not want one person guarding a big table for an hour. Is thirty minutes early reasonable if only three of us arrive first?
