Place Images & Information Notice
Images and information in Meecat Places are intended to help you explore, not to establish the current condition or safety of a place.
1. Images may be AI-generated or illustrative
Some place images may be generated or enhanced using artificial intelligence, or used as illustrations. They may not be photographs of the listed place. Even real photographs may be old, edited or taken under conditions that no longer apply. Do not assume an image is a recent, verified photograph merely because it looks realistic or has no AI label.
2. What may be inaccurate
Images may show details that do not exist or differ from reality, including buildings, rooms, scenery, signs, people, facilities, accessibility or surroundings. Place descriptions, addresses, opening hours, prices, availability and other details may also be incomplete, inaccurate or out of date. An image or listing is not proof of a place's existence, present condition, safety, quality or available services, and is not an endorsement or promise by Meecat.
3. Risks of relying on images alone
Relying on an image or unverified listing alone could lead to visiting the wrong location, wasted travel, unexpected costs, unsuitable or inaccessible facilities, financial loss or exposure to unsafe conditions. Do not use these images as directions or as the sole basis for travel, booking, payment or safety decisions.
4. Check before you act
Confirm the exact location, current opening hours, prices, access requirements and facilities directly with the provider or reliable, current sources. Ask for recent photographs where appropriate. Check official local advice and safety notices before travelling, and review booking, cancellation and payment terms before paying. If information conflicts or a situation appears unsafe, do not rely on the image to resolve your concern.
5. Report a problem
If an image or listing is misleading, inaccurate or unsafe, use the listing's report option or Contact us. Include the place URL or ID and explain which details need review. Do not include passwords, payment details or unnecessary private information. This general notice does not replace image-specific disclosures, source credits or corrections.
6. How this notice applies
This notice applies to Places on the Meecat website and App. It is an information and risk notice, not a new consent requirement. It does not replace our Terms of Service or remove any rights or responsibilities that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
