What should I ask a Beijing cafe for when four people need an easy table?

There will be four of us, one person may arrive twenty minutes later, and one guest uses a walking stick. Two small tables are fine if staff prefer not to move furniture, but a narrow path between close tables will not work. What details should I give the cafe when I call?
