Would you cancel the unlock if the rear tyre feels soft in Kota Kinabalu?

I carry no tools and do not want to fix someone else’s damaged chain. The last bike felt fine at the rack and developed a soft rear tyre on the first hill. I can test both brakes in the rack area without entering traffic.
