I have allowed travel time. The unknown part is what happens at the desk. The appointment is early enough that the building doors may open at the same time. I have the appointment card, identification and a current medication list ready.
The last bike felt fine at the rack and developed a soft rear tyre on the first hill. I can test both brakes in the rack area without entering traffic. A brief wheel spin might reveal rubbing that is hard to notice while parked.
Knocking in the early evening seems friendlier than waiting for another mistake. The bag was moved carefully rather than thrown away, so this feels like a routine I missed. I'd prefer a calm correction to another week of moving the same bag.
A small towel might be more useful than the extra layer I normally carry. The route includes an uncovered walk between two stops. I want one dry corner left in the bag for the journey home.
I can inspect in daylight. Still, the corridor may sound different with the door closed. The bathroom cabinet is the first place I plan to look for hidden damp. I care more about everyday noise than the decorative finish.
Arriving alone is fine; making the whole group stop for me is what I'd like to avoid. I know the rules well enough to join a slow round. I'd sooner send one sensible message than ask five questions at the door.
