The rental clock starts before I reach the first busy crossing. I carry no tools and do not want to fix someone else’s damaged chain. One loose basket is annoying; uncertain brakes are a different decision.😃
The caretaker is not always on site, and I have no building chat yet. I'd prefer a quiet correction to a second week of moving the same bag. The shared entrance is little enough that an extra notice may become clutter too.
I want one dry corner left in the bag for the journey home. The shop may have stronger wrapping if I remember to ask before I left. Waiting under cover would work unless the rain restarts near closing time.
I can borrow basic gear, although I need to know whether that is expected. Arriving alone is fine; making the whole group stop for me is what I want to avoid. The only thing I definitely do not own is the specialist gear shown in one picture.
The appointment entrance is narrow and has no chairs. I would happily buy a drink; I mainly need room without blocking an aisle. One suitcase has a loose wheel, so walking around to compare places is not realistic.
